Bensalem School District has an immediate need for Substitute Cafeteria General Worker.  The position goal is to serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an efficient manner in a clean and friendly atmosphere.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. Assists in the preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counter.

 

2. Ensure students are taking the required meals.

 

3. Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter or acts as cashier on computerized registers

 

4. Operates dish machine or works in dish room area.

 

5. Removes used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining area.

 

6. Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion. Also, sweeps and mops assigned area. 

 

7. Performs other related duties as may be assigned or necessary for an efficient operation.

2. Possesses a basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures to protect the health and well-being of our customers.
