Bensalem Township School District is hiring a Long-Term Substitute Social Studies Teacher at the High School. This Long-Term Substitute assignment begins on January 26, 2025 and will last for the entire school year. The goal of this position is to lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and psychological growth and maturation. 

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

1. PA Certificate in Social Studies 
2. Knowledge of content in certification area
3. Classroom/group management skills
4. Human relations skills
5. Planning skills
6. Ability to use instructional materials and equipment
7. Knowledge of child growth and development
8. Instructional skills
9. Knowledge and valuing of the origins and nature of high levels if intelligence, including creative expressions of intelligence and how intelligence manifests itself in different domains and in diverse learners.
10. Knowledge and understanding of the cognitive, social, and emotional characteristics, needs, and potential challenges experienced by gifted learners from diverse populations.
11. Knowledge of enhanced and advanced content and instructional strategies.
