Bensalem Township School District is hiring a Long Term Substitute Gifted Teacher at Struble Elementary School for the second half of the school year. (Approximatly January through June) The goal of the Teacher is to lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, psychological growth and to provide appropriate learning experiences for gifted learners.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

1. PA Certificate in certification/credits in math and science
2. Knowledge of content in certification area
3. Classroom/group management skills
4. Human relations skills
5. Planning skills
6. Ability to use instructional materials and equipment
7. Knowledge of child growth and development
8. Instructional skills
9. Knowledge and valuing of the origins and nature of high levels of intelligence, including creative expressions of intelligence and how intelligence manifests itself in different domains and in diverse learners.
10. Knowledge and understanding of the cognitive, social, and emotional characteristics, needs, and potential challenges experienced by gifted learners from diverse populations.
11. Knowledge of enhanced and advanced content and instructional strategies.
