Bensalem Township School District is hiring Instructional Assistant positions at the Elementary Level 

Instructional Assistants must have an Associate’s Degree (or qualifying credits) or have completed an IU paraprofessional program coupled with prior relevant experience in an Instructional Assistant position.

POSITION GOAL:

To assist the teacher in maintaining the most effective level of instruction possible; to be actively involved in the instructional program.   Instructional Assistants perform educational, non-clerical duties to assist the Classroom Teacher.  The support and assistance include, but is not limited to, one-on-one or group review of material taught by certified staff members, classroom management, and implementation of positive behavioral support plans.  Services may be provided in a special education or general education classroom environment or other instructional setting as provided by the student’s IEP or as directed by the certified staff member and/or building principal. 

Substitute IA Rate- $16.25/hour

Permanent IA Rate- $18.47/hour
