Whether you are a new graduate, looking to get back to work, seeking new work, or considering following your passion for education, substitute teaching is a great opportunity to gain experience and get your foot in the door.  Have a Bachelor's Degree?  You may be qualified to be a substitute teacher. 

Bensalem School District contracts with ESS for its substitute teachers.  Building Based Substitute Teachers earn $160/day and are guaranteed work every school day.  They will be assigned to a specific school building.  Substitutes may cover all types of classes and grade levels and gain broad experience within a school building. 

When long term substitute teaching opportunities arise, the School District will often consider qualified Building Substitutes who have demonstrated their ability to perform in the classroom.  It is a great opportunity to show a principal your skills for consideration of future employment with the School District.
